Carla Gimber
Ward 1
Carla was elected as a Livingstone Range School Division Board of Trustee member in 2021 as a representative of Ward 1. She currently serves on the Audit, Labour Relations, Professional Learning, Policy Review, Regional School Council, Method of Accountability, Alberta Teaching Profession Commission Resolution, Granum School Advisory, and Nanton Solution Committees, and as ASBA Zone 6 Second Language representative.
Along with twenty years of experience in the financial services industry in Alberta and British Columbia, Carla is also an active volunteer in her community. Carla is bilingual in English and French (with basic conversational skills in German and Spanish) and would like to see French language instruction available to all children regardless of where they live. She is passionate about children's education, shaping their future, and creating safe, inclusive environments for students.
Carla and her husband have four children, three cats, two dogs, and traded the hustle and bustle of big cities for a wholesome, grassroots life on an acreage outside Stavely. She is grateful to have her father live with them and help teach her children the importance of family.
