Darryl Seguin
Superintendent
Darryl holds a B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Lethbridge as well as a Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Calgary. Darryl began his teaching career in northern Alberta as a classroom teacher for a Grade 8/9 combined class one year and Grade 3 the following year. He then returned to southern Alberta where he taught Grades 7 and 8 for the Kainai Board of Education on the Blood Reserve. Darryl joined Wolf Creek Public Schools in 1996 teaching Junior and Senior high physical education in Rimbey prior to making the short move to Crestomere school to serve as the Assistant Principal then later as principal of the K-9 school.
Darryl joined Livingstone Range School Division (LRSD) in 2005 as principal of G.R. Davis School in Fort Macleod. Since that time he has served as Principal of WCCHS in Claresholm, Associate Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Acting Superintendent and was appointed Superintendent in 2018.
Working closely with the LRSD Board of Trustees and LRSD staff, Darryl provides support in the following areas:
- Board priorities and strategic planning
- Administrator Mentorship
- Administrator Evaluation
- Administrative Procedures
Nothing brings Darryl greater satisfaction than seeing a school improve over time to become a place where students, staff, and parents are all proud of their school! Away from work, Darryl enjoys spending time with his 3 boys, 3 daughters-in-law and his wife Stacy.
