F.P. Walshe Feather Blessing
Posted onF.P. Walshe is very proud to have 10 First Nation students graduating this year. On June 11, 2022 the graduands attended a special ceremony with their families, where they received eagle feathers blessed by elders Peter Strikes With A Gun, Jeannie Provost, Betty Smith and Louis English. Afterward the group enjoyed a lunch of stew and fry bread.
The feather blessing is a tradition that honours our First Nations students graduating from grade 12 and offers a blessing as they move on to the next step in their journey of life.
