MHHS Empowers Students to Use Technology Wisely

In December, Matthew Halton High School in Pincher Creek launched the school-wide viewing of Screenagers: Under the Influence as part of LRSD's response to the effects of screen time and social media on youth. Delaney Rushton, a family physician and filmmaker, explores research, debunks myths, and empowers teens to make decisions about who and what influences them. Several classes had already viewed and had great discussions about the film before the holidays.

We also introduced families to resources from Tech Talk Tuesday blogs, YouTube Bites, and The Screenagers Podcast. Here are Delaney Rushton’s recommended “best picks” from 2023.
