Provincial Budget 2024

On February 29, 2024 the Alberta Government released the Provincial Budget 2024. The announcement indicated there would be a 4.4% increase or $393 million to the overall provincial education expenditures. Enrolment growth, Learning Support, Transportation, and Capital Maintenance were key areas noted in Alberta Education's communications.
Additional details including the Alberta Education Funding Manual and School Authority Funding Profiles are not expected to be released until mid-March at the earliest. Once that information is made available Livingstone Range School Division will know the overall impact of the 2024 budget. We will share more information as it becomes available.
Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides stated that funding announcements for approved capital projects outside of Calgary and Edmonton will be released over the next 3-5 days.
