Statement on Queen Elizabeth II's Passing

We are saddened at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and extend our condolences to the Royal Family, the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth. She lived an extraordinary life and holds a special place in the hearts of many Canadians.
Flags at Livingstone Range School Division schools and Division Office are lowered to half-mast in respect during the mourning period and through the accession day of the King. Provincial books of condolence will be available online and at some provincial buildings throughout the province; a provincial public memorial will be held on the last day of mourning. Buckingham Palace prescribes the mourning period for Her late Majesty. More information is available on the Government of Alberta website.
