Susan Stacheruk Named Acting Assistant Principal of F.P. Walshe School
Posted onLivingstone Range School Division is pleased to announce that Susan Stacheruk has been named Acting Assistant Principal of F.P. Walshe School in Fort Macleod beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. She and Greg Freer will both serve as Assistant Principals to support the entire school community.
Principal Chad Jensen knows that Susan’s leadership will benefit F.P. Walshe students and staff. “Susan will bring positive energy and genuine care for students to our admin team,” says Chad. “I am very much looking forward to working with Susan in her new role next year."
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Physical Education) from Augustana University, a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta, and a Masters of Arts (Administration and Supervision) from Gonzaga University. She began teaching in Livingstone Range School Division in 2000 and has taught at F.P. Walshe for the last 14 years. She has served as Professional Development representative, Athletic Director, and Learning Support Lead.
Helping to continue the positive school culture at the school, Susan is enthusiastic about her new position. “I am looking forward to joining the leadership team at F.P. Walshe,” says Susan. “I feel we are building a safe and caring school environment, where all learners belong. I am excited about the new programs Wings and Connections that help students thrive.”
Susan is a proud mom of a son and daughter who both play hockey. Her daughter will be playing hockey this fall at Mount Royal University, while her son plays hockey in the winter and lacrosse in the spring/summer. This summer the family will be traveling to California and Ontario for lacrosse. When not supporting her kids’ sports, Susan spends time with her partner, golfing, traveling, watching other sports, and gardening in the summer.
