Trustee Brad Toone Elected Chair of Rural Caucus of Alberta School Boards
Posted onLivingstone Range School Division Trustee Brad Toone has been elected to the role of Chair of the Rural Caucus of Alberta School Boards. He has been serving as Vice-Chair since the fall of 2021.
LRSD Board Chair Lori Hodges is confident that Brad will represent rural Alberta well in this position. “From the fields to the forefront of education, Brad Toone's journey reflects the essence of rural life and the values we hold dear,” says Lori. “As a leader, Brad cultivates success with the same passion he tends to his family farm, bringing a wealth of experience and genuine knowledge in his new role as Alberta Rural Caucus Chair. The Rural Caucus of Alberta School Boards promotes policies and practices that contribute to flourishing rural school communities across the province. The Rural Caucus represents more than 40 rural school boards and addresses complex issues raised by its membership such as new curriculum implementation, transportation, and funding for student mental health and wellness.
“Supporting rural living and communities is my passion,” says Brad. “I am excited for the opportunity to continue to advocate for rural education in Alberta.”
