Ward 1 Trustee Resignation

At the Board of Trustees meeting held December 19, 2022 the Board received the resignation of Trustee Joscelyn Stangowitz, Ward 1 Trustee. The Board acknowledged her service as a Trustee since the general election in October 2021 and wished her all the best in the future.
According to the Alberta Education Act, Section 81 if a vacancy occurs in a board with six or more trustees in the 3 years immediately following a general election the board may determine if the vacancy is to be filled (with a by-election) or wait until the next general election. At this time, the LRSD Board of Trustees will continue to operate with six trustees.
